4 Star Review A joy to play

revjanarthur - (February 01, 2006) I love this little Fluke! I received it for my birthday and whenever I pick it up and play I feel better emotionally and spiritually, really. My family also perks up and joins in the singing - it creates a nice spirit in our home whenever I pick up this ukulele. Songs are fun to sing on this and the chords were a snap to pick up. Compared to other ukes, this Fluke sounds brighter and cuts through more than the mellower sounds of a solid mahogany uke (that I also own). Both receive their own merits, but frankly, this Fluke is easier to play, louder and brighter, and safer to travel with or to take to the beach - how can you ruin plastic?! An absolute joy.

1 Star Review Sojing violins SUCK!!

Bolo - (May 08, 2006) I bought one of these violins because I thought it would be nice to take up playing again and I didn't want to spend a lot. Let me tell you something, these are sorry excuses for violins. The bow is so crappy that the hairs fall out while you rosin it (if you can call what came with it "rosin"), the electronics are a joke. and the strings don't stay in tune for more than a minute. The only thing I did like was the design of the body, but that wasn't enough to make me keep it. I sold mine in an online auction for less than I paid for it and I still feel ashamed about ripping off the poor fellow who purchased it from me.

2 Star Review Very Disappointed

squeedle - (November 21, 2005) I just received my MF 100 in black today. Right away I noticed the finish flaws. It was over polished at the bottom f hole to the point of dulling the finish. The binding had several very noticable areas of roughness like it was held under the buffer too long and melted the binding material...not just small spots either. These should have been noticed before this mandolin was considered finished. Worst of all, the fret board was separated from the meck at the 12th fret and above, causing those frets to be cupped. I went ahead and tuned it up and strummed it a bit, and it did sound pretty sweet. I am returning this mandolin, but not for another Johnson. If one this bad gets by their QC, I do

5 Star Review A good buy!!!!!!!!!

raroyal - (10/07/08) I am a bginner ukulele player. as a beginner i was looking for a uke which had a good sound, was easy to tune and hold so that it keeps me motivated to learn. This uke meets my expectations.I think it is a good ukulele for beginners and intermediate level players. I also bought an extra set of strings with it.I just wish they had provided a gig bag and an extra set of strings with it.It would have been a great buy then.

3 Star Review Not bad for an inexpensive cable

vanhalen26505 - (23/03/08) This cable has an MSRP of $49.99. It sells in most major music shops for a fraction of this price, which is more reasonable. For a medium quality instrument cable, it is decent. The 1/4" ends move a bit more than higher end cables do. This is to say that the barrel portion rotates and on higher quality plugs, they do not. This may lead to the solder joints breaking after time. If you are looking for a very high quality cable that it truly low noise and will likely last you decades, consider a brand such as Mogami. If you are looking for something of reasonable quality that you will probably replace in a few years, this may fit the bill.

5 Star Review Planet Waves Right Angel Cable

IP68 - (04/03/08) Good cable. Lock-in option on most Planet Waves cables allows not to think on how good cable in while you move or shake the instrument. Signal is clear. No negative feelings except that is expensive compare to others.
