Strengths: clear, almost surround like sound, deep base.
Weaknesses: no subwoofer, when base and volume are both up, speakers move need to be wheighed down mounted or kept a close eye on
Summary: These speakers produce loud crystal clear sound and look pretty good.I think there well worth the buy.The movment under high bass and volume is easyly managable. And with the bass that these things produce a subwoofer is not needed. So unless you have to blast your volume 24/7 and are finicy the quality of sound that these speakers produce makes them worth it to me.

3 Star ReviewNot to bad, not to good.
Strengths: Crystal clear highs, and good mid-range, surprising bass for its size.
Weaknesses: Not very loud.
Summary: These speakers are very nice to look at with there brushed stainless contrasted with black surrounding case.

I was pleasantly surprised at the nice bass for the size. They have a good quality sound. Now having said that, for being powered they do not have a very loud volume.

The MMS321 power unit is rather large for the unimpressive db's coming out. At 8"x3"x5" it seems that it should be... well, more.

I bought these to use with my laptop. Even with a Boosteroo inline to boost the volume, its not so loud that you can't hold a normal conversation. Thinking that it may be the laptop, I attached the unit to my home computer. The results were a little less flattering. At full volume the level was about the same. However the signal was distorted. As the volume was backed down it cleared up.

The box boast's a whopping 80w. 2x20w per channel. It may seem impressive until you hear the 80w.

I bought these at Wal-mart for $59.00. Not bad for the quality of sound. Just not alot of quantity. Might be a great purchase for a college dorm. Not too big and not too loud.

If I could give two and a half stars I would. They are satisfactory, but would not purchase them again. So hence the three stars.
