Strengths: Superb screen, expandable memory slot, WI-FI access
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: This replaces a Tungsten T3, and I have had nothing but Palm PDA's. I am very happy with this one, the WI-FI is a major selling point for me. The screen is sharp, and can be either portrait or landscape modes. Bluetooth access is also available with this unit.

Strengths: wi-fi access works easily and is fast. Screen is very bright. Processor is very quick. Much better than our old Sony Clie.
Weaknesses: Had trouble with cradle at first, but they put out a patch to fix it and now synching and charging is VERY easy.
Summary: This is actually our 2nd TX. The first one was lost on a trip but since we backed everything up before we left, getting back up and running only took 10 minutes! The screen is very large and bright and since it's got plenty of internal memory, I really don't even need the exrat SD card I keep in it. I store music on the card now instead of documents.

    2 Weeks
Strengths: Colorful User Friendly
Weaknesses: Can't Directly Access Yahoo! Mail
Summary: I have owned the palm TX for nearly two weeks and it is simply an awesome PDA. I have never owned any other PDA so I don't have anything to compare this against; however, I now see what I HAVE been missing. The screen is bright and colorful. Battery life is fantastic. I did not have any problems hot-syncing this with my computer and the TX recognized my wireless home network without any issues. The only negative, which I found out only after purchasing the TX and doing some research online, is that you cannot set up Yahoo! mail to integrate with their on-board e-mail system (unless it's the paid Yahoo mail service). You have to go online and access Yahoo mail via the web. It's an extra step, but I'll overlook this "inconvenience" for the multitude of other features that the TX has.

2 Star ReviewT|X. A surprise - an unpleasant one.
Strengths: Huge, bright screen (80-90% of surface); Bluetooth; Card slot; Nice design; Good battery; Multiple applications can be added.
Weaknesses: Poor notepad; Poor input; E-mail; Video player; Poor picture viewer; Documents-to-go.
Summary: I've had been very excited about this product at first, until I returned it (for about 4 days).

The T|X has some good characteristics like Bluetooth, WiFi, and some applications. Mine came with the wireless (IrDA) keyboard. A great gadget, but not much of use. The screen is crystal-clear and pretty big. The outside is great. No change needed here.

Nevertheless, the T|X has some issues. After trying to configure several e-mail accounts, I lost my patience. Always got an error message. The notepad is simply too small to take any notes, maybe just a phone number, but what is the contacts book for? There is absolutely no writing recognition. The letters have to be written as they're listed in the manual, otherwise you get some gibberish. The input area, although divided into three, didn't quite work well. Palm tried to make a calculator, address book, PC, and DVD player in one. With a bad effect.

The Documents-to-go is a pretty neat idea, but it only gives you the taste of real work.

Lots of stuff (Bluetooth, card slot, IrDA, WiFi etc.) put into a piece of junk. A $300 piece of junk that is.

Strengths: compact size, easy/intuitive navigation, Windows applications (Word, Excel), can view PDFs, variety of downloadable applications/games, color-coding in calendar, notes on calendar items, and much more
Weaknesses: doesn't always connect to wireless keyboard, wish screen was a bit bigger...but I wouldn't want the device to be bigger.
Summary: Having a Palm TX is like having a computer and iPod in your back packet. It is the right size to fit in most back pockets (even with a hard case). I can run Microsoft Word and Excel on it, so I can do work while on the go. I can also view PDFs, so it is like carrying around a stack of pages of reading for classes at all times. I've also downloaded a ton of free applications--games like Sudoku, star charts for use while camping, a pet record application so I always have everyone's vaccine records with me, a music application that turns it into a iPod, a dictionary for use while writing, etc.

The calendar is very easy to use and is my main program. You can color-coordinate appointments/meetings/etc. It comes really in handy is you want to keep track of everything you did for time management assessment. You can set calendar items to be reoccurring (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.). You can also include a note on a calendar item. This comes in handy when I need to remind myself that their will be food at a meeting or that I need to bring something, and I also use it to jot down a few quick notes during a meeting. You can also set an alarm to remind you about any calendar item. A task list is also built into the calendar, so you can create a to-do list with reminders.

If you are on a campus or another area with free Wi-fi, you can connect to the internet and check email while on the go as well. I love that I can check my email between classes, seminars, and meetings.

My only complaint is that the wireless Palm keyboard I have and this PDA don't always get along, so I end up typing on the touchscreen with the stylis more than using the keyboard.

Strengths: has easy access to the web(via WI-FI). Also it has a nice, crystal clear screen.
Weaknesses: It doesn't have a phone on it.
Summary: This PDA definitely blows all others away. It makes it super easy to view your email or the weather. In literally seconds you can be connected to the web. It has everything you can possibly imagine, including music. It even has an expansion slot so you can put more music, pictures, or whatever on it. The only thing it doesn't have is a phone on it. I would highly recommend this product for anyone on the go that wants something nice and slim to check emails, listen to music, or play games. It's so nice, it's hard to refuse!

2 Star ReviewGood, but not perfect.
Strengths: Wi-fi, more built-in memory
Weaknesses: No voice recorder
Summary: Having owned a T3, the only benefit in this release is the Wi-fi. One major drawback is the lack of a voice recorder. To me, it was invaluable in my T3. Why would Palm decide to leave this feature out? I still can't figure it out, especially since they actually included the connections for the microphone (there are hacks out there, for those brave enough, to surgically implant a microphone in the TX). Everything else is great in this Palm and comparable to the T3. The lack of a voice recorder, though, is enough reason for me to not buy it again. I would gladly take a Zire 72 over this simply because it has the voice recording functionality.

Strengths: Easy to use, nice color screen, superb Wi-Fi access, fast file HotSync
Weaknesses: The package doesn't come with any case. If I want to protect it from scratches, I have to buy a case somewhere else.
Summary: So far, I like it better than my old m515. I just love its wireless access. I don't have anything to do with Bluetooth, but it doesn't bother me much. The multi-language function doesn't have the language that I would like to use, but I can easily download the program for it. If there is anything I want to pick at about this product, I would say the PDA sometimes is too hot after I use it for more than 30 minutes. Otherwise, I like it so far and like it better than any Treo.

Strengths: High resolution screen, great multimedia capabilites, 3.5mm headphone jack.
Weaknesses: Resets frequently.
Summary: I got this device for Christmas and I must say that it is one of the best PDAs I've ever had. Not only does it do data, but multimedia very well.

I've only had one problem with this device is that it resets itself constantly, but I don't feel like bothering Palm's bad tech support.
