Summary: Don't waste your time and money for the Drobo share. The unit is expensive, and is super slow. Copying a few files takes a long time to do. The same files that can be copied to a USB in 10mins takes over 1 hr. DROBO should release a new model this I hope. The RAID unit is quite fast and reliable but the share (mounting as a new drive for PCs) is like a joke with early 19th century technology.
