Weaknesses: NONE Summary: I am 69 years of age and over the years I have used many many diffrent trimmers. Today I purchesed your GrassHog 14" trimmer and beyond a dought it is the finast one I have ever used. Keep up the good work. I do have one issue and that is I want to regester this item on line at your www.prodregister.com/blackanddecker but it does not find the page. I experienced similar problems trying to register a PD600 CORDLES... website works fine for me.

Comes out of the box and a few snaps and you are trimming (no tools needed). Very lightweight and adjustable for different reaches. Replacement spools are available and real easy to replace. Auto feed system means that you do not have to bump the edger to create more line for it. Push button feature turns this into an edger for sidewalks, curbs, etc. Has an edge guard to keep you from getting too close to objects or areas you do not want to trim. I can replace the line without having to buy a whole spool. Weaknesses: Motor is subject to burn out under normal use. Summary: The motor got very hot and started smoking. I took it apart to see what the problem was. The gides that hold the brushes were blackned as well as the comuntator! Just try to find a replacement motor on a holiday weekend. An advantage is that it is light compared to gas trimmers. Have to accept that string trimmers do chew up a fair amount of string, which is quite time consuming if you restring the spool yourself. Dual-line cord makes short work of high grass and weeds. Weaknesses: Relatively expensive to replace line. Have to buy pre-wound spools. Summary: Overall, this trimmer/edger is a good value for $49.95. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a reasonabl-priced electric cord trimmer. Its shape makes it easy to use. Weaknesses: None. Summary: The trimmer is very easy to use and it does its job as expected.
