Dealt with these guys & serversdirect for over 2 years now, both deliver goods when expected and are the cheapest around. Had a few problems in the past but nothing that hasn't been resolved with a quick phone call. |

First time buyer from Laptops Direct, I was amazed by their cheap prices. Having ordered my laptop at Noon, I specifically asked for next day delivery as I needed it on time. Paid extra money fro next day delivery. 'Next Day @ 4pm' - Still no sign of my order, called up their "premium 0870 number", having spend over 30mins on the phone it came to the conclusion that my order hadn't been despatched. Having asked why, the bloody incompetent staff didn't know why. I asked them to speakto the manager, and they said they would put me on a manager's callback list. I asked them how long that was going to be, they had the bloody cheek of telling me that a manager would get in touch within 24 hours!. Conclusion - They lure you in with their cheap prices, but I tell you what, DO NOT buy from these cowboys, you are better off paying the £50 more at a leading, reputable and more competent company. It's not worth the hassle and time. Staff are rude and very, very incompetent. |

Ordered a laptop with saturday delivery (an extra 30 quid) and it never arrived. Called customer services and said they would call back with more information. They never did, so I cancelled as I simply cannot get deliveries during the week. Still awaiting reimbursement- we'll see how that goes! I was foolish not to have searched for customer reviews on laptopsdirect and I wish I had- it seems all the negative reviews are correct. I'm ordering with another retailer with better customer service and am prepared to pay more for it. |

always a pleaseure to do business with laptops direct, never had a bad expereince with them and ive bought a good few things over the years off them, just goes to show really how you hear all of the bad stories but only 1% of the good ones. and yes i have retuened stuff that was faulty straight out of a sealed box but i havent been messed around at all unlike with other companies,. it takes a few days if you need a refund off them but its the same with everyone because thats how long it takes the bank to do it (i work in finance so i know how long it takes) hope that helps and dont be put off by too many bad reviews because like i say you only ever hear when there is a problem, and problems do happen occasionally. I would always recommend them to anybody. |

DANGER!!! These guys are dodgy. We ordered 3 laptops on express shipping that arrived 10 days later. They charged our account twice for near on £1000 which they have still not refunded 30 days later after numerous promises over the phone. STAY WELL AWAY!! |

I ordered a Lenovo laptop with docking station from Laptops Direct. But when delivered, the docking station didn't fit the model of laptop. So it was useless to me. I filled in the returns form on-line and heard nothing. So I rang on the customer services line (on premium rate line). There were difficulties with ParcelForce collecting the package and so I went back to Laptops Direct who said I was now "time barred" and they wouldn't accept the return. Given that they had agreed to receive the returned item, but there had simply been problems having it collected, this seemed ridiculous. I asked who I could discuss this with and was told the manager would say exactly the same thing. I asked for the managing director address. I was told "it would be a waste of time writing to him as he employs us to deal with these things and you will just get the same answer". I am left with the wrong docking station for my laptop and they are left with one less customer for the future. |

I couldn't pay with my Spanish credit card because of a web programming error and the girl I talk to (Dulcie) even didn't replay me. So I couldn't buy the computer (lenovo thinkpad at L329) and nobody seemed to want to fix the problem. |

Order placed on Wednesday, advised of despatch by email about an hour later. Credit card charged. Goods not delivered next day. Friday after a number of premium rate phone cals was informed that the goods were not even in stock. Four days later I have not had a credit on my card. Company did not reply to any emessages. |

Another Negative feedback. Placed an order for an EEEpc with delivery quoted at 2-7 days. Chased after 14 days to be told it would be by the end of the week. Then agian at 21 days it would be another week. Sourced another if i made a quick purchase and cancelled order within 30 days of order (note they take ALL the funds first) they would ge tme my eeePC the by the end of the week... surprise? Nothing at all. I gave up by the 18th of March yes 8 weeks later and they are still quoting 2-5 days delivery, i called as new customer, sneaky i know but gives me ZERO faith. Will never recommend this lot in my life. TERRIBLE customer service and a different excuse each time. |

Stay Away!! I have waited in since the 16th December 2007 waiting for an order but to no avail. Three unsuccessful delivery attempts later now waiting for a refund. The customer services are a complete waste of time, lengthy delays.Once you get to the front of the cue you are cut off!! Complete waste of time and effort! |

1/5. Non-existant after-sales service. Not enough room to write a proper review so here's the summary: - Excessive pre-sales calls. - Item had 2 hardware issues and one missing accessory. - After-sales emails go unreplied, promised callbacks/emails from phone agents do not arrive. Laptops Direct seems to be to be very apathetic to issues you have with the product after you've purchased it, and seem disorganized on top of that. All the signs so far are of a classic cowboy mail-order racket - get their money and disappear. The Returns department has provided a pleasant no-nonsense experience so far, but I'll reserve final judgement until my credit card has a £600 credit on it from them. I wish I'd read these reviews and spent a few more quid with a more reputable dealer. |

After I read the other reviews I was dubious, but took the risk because the price was so good. Im gald I did, because the whole service was faultless. I paid an extra 10 GBP delievery cost to recieve my laptop the next day and sure enough it was with me in less than 24 hours. Would certainly use this site again. Thanks very much laptops direct. |

Contrary to other reviews (whether being fortunate or not) I didnt have any major problems other than the verification of my card, which boiled down to my credit card company not having my correct details. Anyway, a quick phone call the next day sorted it out, the customer service girl being helpful and the product was received the next day. They provided me with details of dispatch and gave me a tracking number and link to the delivery company (city link) so I could check that it had left the dispatch depot all in all I was quite happy with the service and they saved me over a £100 from buying from a leading electrical store.. |

Appalling customer services, I spent weeks trying to send a laptop back to them and they would not accept it because the box was slightly damaged. I would call them up and they would do the usual call-centre crap passing me around to different departments and promising 'call-backs' that didn't happen. Very unhelpful and I ended up with a £750 laptop which I cant use for the tasks I wanted, even though I was withing my rights to return it within 5 days. |

BUYER BEWARE.I wish I had read other reviews before ordering. GCSE Telepathy is an advantage to deal with this company. They did not give details of dispatch, would not give tracking number, delivery company do not notify attempted delivery - and after all this - you get charged either for another delivery or cancelling the order. I am now out of pocket for a laptop which never materialised, and have complained to Trading Standards and OFT. Customer services particularly unhelpful. Would not recommend the stress levels in dealing with this company to my worst enemy. |

Very quick delivery despite me not paying the extra for overnight shipping. Only downside is the credit card surcharge (how else are you going to pay!?). Great prices though. |
