Strengths: I am an architect. I can keep a couple of year's worth of CAD files on this little stick and put it in my pocket. Incredible. So far, it has been rock solid; totally reliable. Great technology.
Weaknesses: None that I have seen so far.
Summary: I do not hand out compliments where none are warranted. This is an extremely reliable bit of technology for me, so far. Back ups are fast and perfect, to date. I love that I can store so much on something I can keep in my pocket.

Strengths: sturdy, fast, convenient size
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This flash storage drive is easy to use. I like the convenient size, not too small or too big. Item is sturdy, and one is not afraid to drop it. Transfers files quickly & easily. Whopping 16gb storage, so I don't have to have carry around several flash drives.

Strengths: Input and output speed as well as Windows Vista 4GB ReadyBoost swap file.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: Input and output speed for this USB device is superior. Also, have used this USB device for a 4GB ReadyBoost swap file. Eventually, such USB devices will replace my harddrives.

Strengths: Huge Drive, feels comfortable, soft and durable, fast transfer rate
Weaknesses: A little expensive, Easy to lose Cap
Summary: 2008-01-03 15:11:25 Good price. However, price dropped by $8 a week later. You need to constantly check price. The flash drive feel very confortable to hold and feels very sturdy. The drive is a little bulky and take up too much space if your usb ports are next to each other. However, to remedy this problem, corsair does provide an extension usb cord with the flash drive. In addition, the transfer rate is fast. The software for data encrption is very good and easy to use.

Strengths: Fast drive with a case that is pleasing to the touch and protects the drive well. The keychain ring is attached to the drive, not the cap. Corsair will replace the cap if you lose it.
Weaknesses: A bit expensive, it would be nice if it was one of the superfast models.
Summary: I've had the 4gig version for over a year: this fast, reliable drive is great. I've seen some complaints about the cap falling off, but all caps can fall off (and Corsair will replace it if you lose it) so I don't see that as a problem. It is worth the extra cash.

Strengths: Size, speed, durability
Weaknesses: Cap can fall off
Summary: Extremely durable and water resistant. Reliably fast speeds that Corsair is known for. Next I'm going to see if I can use it as a bootable hard drive, portable wherever I go!

Strengths: Large capacity, fast, small size for an over 8 gig USB device.
Weaknesses: Rubber cap can come off and get lost, but not so far. Pricy, but worth it.
Summary: This is an absolutely incredible device. As an IT professional this is a lifesaver. It is fast and 16 gigs. Don't hesitate, spend the extra $75 bucks and get this 16 gig device.

Strengths: 16GB :) $140... need I say more?! :)
Weaknesses: Kind of thick, but comes with an extension cord so no worry! :)
Summary: Love the rubber case and the blue light matches my hp dv8000t's lights! :) Overall I think this is an amazing drive. It did work right away with Windows Vista and ReadyBoost, but I reformatted it to NTFS to make it faster. I love how I can put anything on it! :) Great package and i know some people complain about the over but it is like any usb memory stick... you can lose any of the covers. So this one is just like the rest but better cause it is rubber :)
I LOVE IT !: )

Strengths: sturdy, water resistant, size, USB cable, light weight and very fast
Weaknesses: the overhead only allow you a useable 15.1 gb
Summary: I am really pleased with this device. Its very quick to retrieve and write data, its compact and comes with all you need to get going immediately. I've had a few of these of smaller size but it appears that this one is the first one someone actually sat down and thought about. The majority of these once you get past the 2 and 4 gb's are of the size that makes your other USB connections unusable blocking the free ports.

Nice storage space but VERY slow with Outlook pst file
Strengths: Plenty of leg room on this thumb drive. Sturdy feel.
Weaknesses: Speed. Especially with Outlook pst file.
Summary: I use it for portability of my ever-growing Outlook pst file. Since moving my pst file to this thumb drive, I have found my Outlook response time has increased dramatically, to the point of painfully slow. I have tried it with Outlook on 2 different computers so far. Had I known ahead of time the response time hit I would experience, I would have bought from another manufacturer. Or I would have gone with an 8GB thumb drive with positive speed reviews, which would still be an upgrade over my previous 4GB thumb drive.

Gawd-awful SLOW - why don't they make firewire drives?
Strengths: the same as any other flash drive - small, convenient, etc.
Weaknesses: OMG, how slow can it get?!?!
Summary: I need to transfer my mail folder between computers, both Macintoshes. If I use a firewire connection between the two computers, the 3.5GB file gets transferred in a few minutes. Hoping to not have to continue to lug my laptop to the office every time I want to update the mail folder, I thought I'd try a large capacity flash drive. I just took delivery today, plugged it in, and found there is NO WAY that this is a practical option. The computer estimated it would take two hours to transfer the same file.
Guess I'm back to lugging the laptop around. BTW, why don't they still make firewire flash drives? This file transfer is relatively fast using the computer's firewire.

Corsair 16GB Thumbdrive
Strengths: Good capacity for the price
Weaknesses: A little slow. Rubber 'cap' doesn't stay on after the first week. Currupted files after 6 mos. of use.
Summary: I wish that I could get past the negative here, but I can't. This was used daily for about the past six months. Recently, the entire volume was currupted - unrecoverable by the way. Furtunately I backed it up weekly. I formated it and tried it again. Within a week it was lost again. After disecting it, I noticed that it had no structural support for the PCB - hence the board flexing could be an issue. Anyway, we're shopping for a replacement.

Strengths: 16gb storage along with good transfer speeds
Weaknesses: not quite as fast as corsair gt versions but still good nevertheless
Summary: although it's not quiet as fast as corsair gt versions
when it comes to transfer speeds, it's still pretty
fast nevertheless and along with it's large 16gb storage
and nice rubber protection padding and usb extension
cord all for not much more than $40 makes this a great
buy that offers a lot of bang for the buck. this is a
product you can't go wrong with.

Strengths: Large Capacity (16GB), USB 2.0, Fast, Mobile, Decent Size
Weaknesses: Sticky/Rubbery Protective Shell
Summary: I was looking for a 16GB flash drive that had decent reviews, and this one fit the bill. There were a few reviews for this on other websites that mentioned slow transfer rates; however, I haven't witnessed this issue. (FYI: I've used this on both XP Home and XP Professional and have achieved really decent transfer speeds.) This is USB 2.0 compatible flash memory, and the fact that I have portability for 16GB worth of data is amazing! The only down side that I've seen is that the rubber coating/shell is awkward when trying to pull the drive out of your jean pockets. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say. This seems to fit my needs for now.
