Totally unsatisfied with my last purchase from ebuyer. They may generally the cheapest, when you have to wait 3 months for them to deliver an item then cheap doesn't cut it. I believe I only received the item because I had contacted trading standards and my credit card company! I was then told that because of the issues with the order that I would get £20 off my next order which hasn't been honoured. I would rather pay more with a different supplier than spend money with ebuyer again. |

Their Price for Acer TravelMate 8204WLMi is BEST in market. though comparison shows shopacer.co.uk (wrong). they showup free shipping, whilst they charge 30£ for shipping, and as well 1.5% surcharge on credit cards. eBuyer took 4£ extra for Express shipping, and next day the laptop was with me in extra packing. though their customer support advisors arent having knowledge of all the products. but I found myself eventually. very well recommended seller. |

some items do not have full descriptions. Due to a foul up in the distribution department i did not receive the goods by the date i specifically paid for. When contacted an ebuyer apologised and said that they would refund my surchage. Am still waiting to see if it appears. Overall not a bad shopping experience. |

They may be cheap but are they worth it ?
I bought a new motherboard fom them with Priority Express Service. Which arrived 2 days late. Ok so delivery late not a problem even though I paid a few quid extra.
But my main greivence starts here, the "new" motherboard was very second hand (more fluff on it than the 3 year old board it was to replace) and damaged.I am now waitng for a reply from Sheffield trading standards as they have informed me this is fraud(a criminal offence).I await my reply. Retailer Response (17/03/06): I can assure you that this is something that happens by accident, we make every effort to ensure that all customer orders are correct and complete when we ship them out. At the moment we have a mispick rate of less than 1%, this is getting better by the day. This incident has been investigated and it has been found that you have received a mispicked item. |

Very good service - the only quibble I ever had was recieving a sound card (OEM) which had fallen out of the anti-static bag in transit. Still worked though so I didn't complain. I also chose the super-saver delivery (not regular) Retailer Response (07/03/06): Ebuyer use a lot of OEM products, when we ship them out we make every effort to ensure that they are securely wrapped in protective packaging; it is very rare for Ebuyer to here of an incident like this one. |

I'm torn between 4stars+, or less than 1star. My extended experience of ebuyer has been primarily as it should be: decent-priced equipment delivered on time mostly without fuss. But when it goes wrong, it really goes wrong. After two instances of short-shipment, it took 2months for one refund and @ almost 3months I'm still waiting for another - and that's even with a nudge of a 25minute call to ebuyer customer services! Summary? usually a good supplier, but painfully poor customer services. Retailer Response (01/03/06): As you can imagine, all companies receive false RMA claims. When an RMA claim comes in we have to investigate the situation to determine whether the claim is true or false, I apologise for any inconvenience that this causes. |

I'm about to build a brand new pc (500£ worth) so i opened account with ebuyer.com Everything was nice and ease, prices marvellous till there came cancellation of my order due to missing passport copy and copy of bill as proof of address.
I'm not satisfied at all and will rather use another i-shop.
strongly unreccomended Retailer Response (01/03/06): With the increasing amount of fraud on the internet Ebuyer had to step up the defences for the company and the customer, at first there were a few teething problems with the new system but these have now been ironed out. The more that you use Ebuyer the better it is for you. |

Ebuyer has always been a good site and retailer, very reliable and has a good catalogue. I would like to add that ebuyers prices are matched elsewhere now whereas a few years ago ebuyers prices were very hard to beat. Excellent until things go wrong, then don't expect any after sales help the only thing they done super quick was to close my account when I requested, so quickly in fact that I had not even downloaded the Manufactures details so that I could try and get the missing items from my order direct, don't bother saving the odd few quid try the next cheapest or one you know the after sales service is sound. Retailer Response (13/02/06): I am sorry to here that your experience with Ebuyer was not a good one; hearing that a customer is not satisfied with there shopping at Ebuyer is never good. Goods received by date specified - important as I paid for priority delivery. However they were not shipped on the day of the order - the web site said it would usually be the same day, and I ordered before breakfast! I have noticed this with other on-line merchants. I have an old account that I would have liked to have used, but unfortunately it is registered at my previous address and with my previous name. There was no clear way to change either of these, particularly the name. Under account "Profile", where one would have expected such information to be found, there were just two fields of information.
Otherwise, the site is clean and friendly. Server speed was slightly slow. If it arrives on time, I will be probably raise my rating to a 4. Been a customer since before they changed their name to ebuyer (when it was choice peripherals. Have always found them fast, efficient and friendly, and their prices are always good.
